چکیده

Introduction. Low seedbed temperatures at the planting and direct sowing method can reduce sweet corn germination. Transplanting may offer optimum environmental conditions for seed germination, early crop maturity, increase (Zea mays L. group saccharata) productivity. Boron deficiency depresses yield through male sterility. Objective. To evaluate effect of transplanting addition boron in production. Materials methods. A field experiment was conducted from March 19 to June 20, 2020 Research Station Horticulture Department Landscape Gardening Architecture, University Diyala, Baqubah, Iraq. Direct transplanting, foliar application 0, 50, or 75 mg L-1 evaluated determine effects on yield, components, water use efficiency cultivars: Roi Soleal, Seker misir, Succar. Results. The cv. Misir matured faster (57.5 days), had wider ears (4.53 cm), more kernel rows (16.0), highest (6.00 t ha-1), a higher (WUE) (2.85 kg m-3). Succar longest (18.48 cm) heaviest fresh (251 g). hastened time maturity (54.18 produced (17.91 widest (4.52 most (15.96), (229 g), (5.56 WUE (2.64 50 fertilizer treatment (17.61 (4.58 (16.61), (5.64 (2.68 least (57.72 days) (232 g) occurred with fertilizer. Conclusion. boron, as fertilizer, appears be, next method, suitable cultivation plants productivity WUE.
